ACG Meet up. Tuesday 3rd January - Monthly Meet ups are a casual way for members to meet up and get to know each other in a relaxed environment.

Research Day. Sunday 15th January - Women's Outer wear 1800's to 1910. Kay Inverarity is hosting this research workshop into Womens’ outer wear, from 10am till 4pm. Please bring a plate to share. Please let Kay Inverarity know on 84491948 if you wish to come along.

Beach Day Semaphore Beach Sunday 29th January - Come and enjoy the seaside breeze and sun, we shall go next to the semaphore jetty, next to the fairground rides. Think period 1900s to 1950s, If you have always wanted to make your favourite bathing suit, now is your chance to show it off. Visit the facebook page here.

ACG Meet up - Tuesday 7th Feb. Monthly Meet ups are a casual way for members to meet up and get to know each other in a relaxed environment. Venue to be advised.

Corset Workshop. Saturday 4th-Sunday 5th - Run by Lynne Cook, 10am - 4pm each day at Marianne's house (Windsor Gdns). Patterns will be provided, and attendees will be emailed with what they need to bring. Limited places, so you need to put your name down on our forum page.

Adelaide Fringe. Friday 17th Feb. to Sunday 19th March - Plenty of costume opportunities, more details to come.

Jane Austen Festival Australia 2017. Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd April - A festival for all things Regency and Jane Austen. Come celebrate 200 years since Jane Austen's death and JAFA's own 10 year anniversary. Various workshops, talks and dancing classes are held over the 3 days. Gumeracha Medieval Fair 6th-7th May – Federation Park, Gumeracha sees a weekend of medieval goodness, jousting, combat, cooking, costumes, blacksmithing and other medieval displays. When available, details will be on their website.

AVCon - the premier Anime and Videogame Convention 21-23 July - Adelaide Convention Centre. A weekend of gaming, anime and Japanese culture, one the largest pop-culture kind of conventions held in Adelaide. Check their website for details as they come available.

August

The Discworld Grand Tour 4-6 August - Lakes Resort, West Lakes. a wealth of activities and attractions for Discworld and Terry Pratchett fans of all age. See their webpage for more details.

The National Australian Costumers Guild Ball Saturday 26 August - The event of the year, and it’s not too early to start your costume, check our website and facebook closer to the date for more details.

September
ACG Meet up Tuesday 5th September - Monthly Meet ups are a casual way for members to meet up and get to know each other in a relaxed environment.

Steampunk Festival TBA - Held at the Port Adelaide Railway Museum. Dress in your best Steampunk finery and enjoy a weekend amongst the National Railway Museum’s collection of historic carriages and monstrous steam engines.

Bay to Birdwood Classic Run Sunday 24th September - The Run is back at the National Motor Museum in Birdwood. The ACG often has a strong contingent of costumed people to enter in fashions in the field. The Classic is cars from 1956-1978. Check the details here.

Adelaide Zombie Walk TBA - The dead rise again for this worldwide phenomenon! A shambling, brains-hunting affair through the streets

ACG Versailles picnic Sunday TBA– a picnic held at the Adelaide Botanic gardens, come dressed in Georgian or Regency. More details to follow.

Steampunk Pirate Ball - Run by Steampunk SA, venue and date to be advised.

November
ACG Meet up Tuesday 7th November - Monthly Meet ups are a casual way for members to meet up and get to know each other in a relaxed environment.

Maker Faire Adelaide. Date TBA - A family-friendly festival of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker movement. The organisers are encouraging visitors to come along in costumes they've made. With over 100 displays and hands on workshops come and learn from other makers. Held south of the city at the Tonsley site.

Supanova Adelaide, 18-19 November - Supanova is coming to Adelaide! At the Adelaide Showgrounds, November . Check out their website closer to the date for details, and if Comic Con was anything to go by, this is set to be a massive event!

December

Christmas Party Saturday 9th December - Not much happens in December except the Christmas Party! A relaxed no-theme costumed barbecue party at someone's house, 6.00pm start then we'll fire up the barby so please bring a plate of food to share.

International Dress like be a Time Traveller Picnic. - Come and join other intrepid time travellers and the Steampunk community for an evening picnic to celebrate International Dress like a Time Traveller day. Time and location TBA.
