So we need to also plan a Christmas Shindig.

I've had to contributions so far....

Open Theme

And somewhere airconditioned.

Sounds great.  Anyone got any other ideas?  The only one I've come up with so far is that we hire an airconditioned City Council hall, and have ourselves a dinner, possibly with some bad disco dancing/ games after dinner...

As previously mentioned, I'm not available for the last 2 weeks of November, and the first week of December.  So this will either be during that time, or in December... Tell me preferences below!

I have two suggestions for halls in the BCC area... Sandgate and Hamilton, purely because the have character (Sandgate has a dishwasher apparently)

https://www.brisbane...dgate-town-hall

https://www.brisbane...ilton-town-hall

Both would require a firm commitment to attendance as there is a cost involved though not prohibitive... unless there are only 3 of us going...

I'm free every weekend in Nov (except the 6th) ands December is currently clear also except the weekend of 24th and 25th obviously HaHa

We discussed as a group at the last event having our break up in vintage at a Tea room, the suggestion was made of somewhere by the sea. Or fearless leaders dates of absence have changed so possible dates are now

6th November looks good for me. And I like the idea of an open theme.

While I had initially suggested "The Vintage Apron" in Capalaba, it's location isn't that...nice. Sitting firmly at the front entrance of a shopping centre, the alfresco bit is a rather disappointing. Get inside, and it's lovely, but you still have to put up with the deepest darkest suburban shopping centre-ness of the outside. They make all their food and beverages on site and can cater for food allergies (I figure if they can cater for my friend who has 17 different allergies and is anaphylactic to 11 then they've got the food issues thing down pat.)

I was talking with Cheryl on the weekend and she suggested we could go to Indigiscapes, near Capalaba. The food is good at the cafe there and there are plenty of walks we can take around the native gardens.

While both options aren't technically by the sea, they're close enough to get the sea breezes. Does that count? :P

My rules for costuming:
Don't sew without tea. And don't cut fabric after 10pm. But the most important rule, the rule you can never forget... no matter how much you cry or how close the deadline... never, never operate machinery after midnight.

Sorry Charlie I meant the 5th not the 6th of November... I had a brain fade, how unlike me yes I know

But if you can  flip this over to the Saturday Indigiscapes open theme sounds intriguing

Indigiscapes sounds nice - and open theme is cool too.. :)... I say 5th November is good..

I think we should work out some numbers... I'll share to faceborg and see if we can get some traction!

When you say open theme, is that anything? If it is, cool. I haven't worn my 1940s red dress in a while.

Table is booked - 10 people at 12 (they couldn't do 11am)...

I still say we meet at 11am, that way we can have photos in the park before lunch... :)
