Does anyone have any good Lolita patterns. I just got the cutest material, so I'm going to make a skirt and a dress!
Sorry, the pictures are HUGE!

I have every Gosu Rori. The patterns are decent, but sometimes need adjusting.

*grins* there are so many good patterns in the 9 or so volumes that it would be hard to recommend just one. It depends on

a) your pattern drafting skills
cool.gif your sewing skills and
c) what kind of skirt you were thinking of in the first place.

If all else fails..... take two great big WIDE WIDE rectangles - the depth should be the length that you want the skirt to be plus a bit for hem and a bit for an elasticised waist - the width can be around the 1m mark. Sew down any lace or ruffles desired. Sew the two rectangles together at their short ends. Hem it. Roll over the top of the skirt a little bit wider than a piece of elastic and sew that down, leaving a 2.5cm gap in your sewing. Once you pull some elastic through it (starting where you left the gap in sewing) and draw the excess up, you have a lolita skirt like this....

It is simple but effective and when you have a great fabric that speaks for itself the way that pretty gingham does, you don't need too much more than this.

Wow, that looks great! Thank you. I have seen that kind of pattern before actually.
Mumsie was a little wary of it.
