I have found a source for the fabric used for the overcoat of Padme's Purple Senate gown in Attack of the Clones! I am trying to see if anyone is interested in going in a bulk order with me.
The Flames burnout silk velvet was quoted $5.85 per meter with shipping of 12 meters at $115. I wa slapped with a $50US fee because it was under 200 meters. I thought if there was any interest in doing a bulk order and share the costs of shipping it could be to our advantage. For me to get the fabric on my own for 12 meters it woulf end up being $19.40US per meter. This is about the same that Thai Silks in the US was selling it per yard minus the shipping which would be about the same so you are getting a really good deal!
If you are interersted This is the place to put it! I am goind to leave it in your hands until the end of December/Start of January. If There is interest I will organize a bulk order and if not I will be very satisfied with buying this myself.
When I get a postage quote from the company I wil give you up-dates!
It is a very hard fabric to find and I know that there was interest in this costume after Thai Silks sold out! This is your opertunity to catch a unicorn! It was mine before I found the source!
Who will join me in the Galatic Senate!

No I don't. They did not have pictures on there website of all their products, in the e-mail I sent them I included a picture that had been dyed. The the fabric is available in white and black and for obvious reasons I have indicated white.
