G'day folks,

Well...I am stepping right outta the boat and venturing into a totally new genre for my quick and cheap costume. I wanted to wear something totally different for my first ever con. (Armageddon 08) I also wanted to see if I could put together a totally screen accurate (or close to) Jason costume from Freddy VS Jason for cheap..

Here's a pic of the man in question so you know what I mean;)

I fiddled around on the internet till I found a forum run by Ken. Now Ken was the artist who made the hocks for 4, 5 and 6 I think from memory. Anyway's he sells pulls from his original. So that was that sorted. Very cheap!!!! Now I wanted it painted. I had a particuliar scene in mind. I found another member on the board who paints on commision and actually had done the mask I wanted....here it is:

I needed an underhood though....I'd look a bit inauthentic (is that a word?) without the zombie head. So more research led me to the fact that actors playing Jason usually wore some sort of underhood. SO I looked and found another item. Again...for cheap. Totally authentic to the Jason I had in mind LOL

So combining the two together.......

The rest is easy. Black leather gloves....Ebay....$25 bucks.
Dark Navy T-shirt- already had it LOL Check!
I need to source A ribbed gray sweater/jumper and a mate is sewing me up a burlap jacket with a rounded collar.
Pants....op shop grey women's lounge pants,
Then I just need the boots...oh and blue laces He he

The machete I am thinking of making.

So then the weathering begins LOL

Oh behind the mask on the gouged out left eye you wear this patch over your eye......

So hopefully in the end I will indeed look a little like:

So stay tuned for progress as it happens;)

High Regards
Christian
