In a number of cases I have seen the term 'Artistic Licence', or otherwise heard it being used, and it got me Thinking....

If an actual 'Artistic Licence' existed, what would it look like?

I have been thinking of actually trying to make one, and am open to Design Ideas (including appropriate wording) at the moment :-)

This is what I've worked out so far for the Wording....

ARTISTIC LICENCE

STATE OF CREATION

PLANET EARTH

THIS LICENCE ENTITLES THE BEARER TO PHOTOGRAPH, FILM, SKETCH, DRAW, DRAFT, PAINT, SCULPT, SCRATCHBUILD, RENDER AS 3-D IMAGE, MAKE AS A COSTUME, CRAFT IN WOOD, PLASTIC, LEATHER OR METAL, WRITE OR OTHERWISE CREATE AN ORIGINAL ITEM, EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW

Any Thoughts?"

We all need one...

We also all need A Round Tuit, but round ones are especially hard to come by...

Actually I googled artistic license and here are a couple I found... I like the license codes on the third one.

Indeed :-D

Years ago I managed to find a decent one on-line, and managed to reduce it so that I could fit a lot on the same page when I Printed them, and then started giving them out to people I knew :-)

As to the Pictures you found for the Artistic Licence, I'm liking aspects of the 1st and 3rd ones, but it definately needs a more 'Crafty' Logo :-D

I was given a book once (beautiful hand made book) with a stamp inside reading words to the effect of "This is an origional work of art. Any smudges, blurs or apparent mistakes and imperfections are the intent of the artist and do not subtract from the value in any way."
This was on the back page below a drawing of a rabbits bum with the words 'The end"and part of the rabbits bum was a tad smudged.

I want an artistic licence where it says I can alter reality! woohoo!

I'll be using all the Ideas I can when I finalise my Design :-)

So far, I'll be using aspects from that first Picture ("Licensee is permitted to exercise independent thought and creative freedom to alter reality as he sees fit"), and the third Picture (some of the Codes), as well as much of the Wording I had already worked out :-)

All we need now is a more 'Crafty' Logo....like....Needle and Thread and a Craft/Hobby Knife or something :-)

Okay....

I've worked out a Prototype for a Basic Design

It's in WORD as well as Pictures, so it might be best to View it here:
