Well, all I did was paint the receiver matt black, and it seems to match the p90 perfectly. It the moment, it is just sitting in the body itself, wedged in. I still have to find a source for a TM mag with faux rounds. Either that or make some fakes using bic pens. Once I have one, i'll put a few weights in the rear, and seal it up nice and tight. I also need to find the correct tactical light mount as used on the show.

I'm sure with a little work, they would fit nice in the P90 magazine. I should only use around 20-30, so if anyone wants any, just let me know.

On another note I received my Sci-Fi hero jackets yesterday, and boy am I impressed! Fabric is genuine ripstop in an accurate colour! Now I'll have another mission to find pants that match again.

Beretta M92 and Colt 1911 - they have been in more films than you can poke a stick at.

Definately something like it, anyway :-)
The Judge Dredd Lawgiver (Movie Version) was a Modified M92S because the M93R Machine Pistol wasn't available any more
The Robo Pistol was a M93R, as was the Assault Phaser from ST: V and ST: VI....not to mention a few others here and there
The Pulse Rifle from ALIENS was made from a 'Tommy-Gun' and a Franchi Shot Gun
The Blade Runner Blaster was made from a Charter Arms Bulldog .44 Revolver and a Steyr-Mannlicher Model SL Rifle
I have Information like this on a few different Guns, but not StarGate ones, so that might need its own Thread?
Which might not be a bad Idea, actually....I'll work on a List for such a Thread :-)

Have any of you guys seen this site before? If so, what are the guns like? If not, i'll just get one to let everyone know if they are good or not. For $37, you can't go wrong. Plus the fact that they are in Australia already makes it that much better

The err.. comments further down their page look somewhat dubious
That MP5 aint bad if that's 1:1 size? Says 54cm if that's with stock extended it's actually smaller than a real one.
Shame about the foregrip however.

The back of the box has all the variants that they make(they're modular so different stocks and grips are put on the base gun to make the variants) and they do make a folding stock with the surefire light grip but they don't seem to have it at that shop unfortunately.
Might be worthwhile emailing them to see if they can get it in.

The difficulty there lies in trying to figure out what to make the Prop out of....or even....what size to make it (as Scale might be hard to judge if there's no Measurements provided)
To that end, I have compiled a List of various Guns from Science Fiction, together with what real-life Gun was used as the basis
There's bound to be (many) others that arn't on this List, so feel free to Post if you have any Information yourself :-)
ALIENS:
The Pulse Rifles that the Marines use are made from a Thompson M1A1 machine gun with a Franchi SPAS 12 shotgun underneath.
The M-56 smart guns and the sentry guns built for the movie were designed around German Spandau MG 42 machine guns (most recognizable on the smart guns where the MG 42's characteristic recoil booster muzzle is clearly visible). The gun is mounted on a heavily modified steadicam harness - the MG 42 alone (without the additional cosmetic dressing and ammunition) weighs in at about 25 pounds.
The Sentry Guns were also made from German MG 42 Machine Guns
The Gun used by USMC marines is a Heckler and Koch VP70
BLADE RUNNER:
Made from a Charter Arms Bulldog .44 Revolver and Moldings from a Steyer-Mannlicher Model SL Rifle
STAR WARS:
The weapons the stormtroopers used were essentially the Sterling L2A3 9mm SMG (sub-machine gun) a military weapon developed in the late 1940s in the UK and adopted by the British and Canadian Armies in the 1950s. The curved left entry side mounted magazine was removed. And that was as much as it was modified for the film. The longer sandtrooper weapon was the MG-34 machine gun from Germany
Han Solo's blaster was manufactured from a "Broomhandle" Mauser Pistol
FIFTH ELEMENT:
The Zorg Industries ZF-1 Pod Weapons System was actually based upon an AKSU-74 compact assault rifle
The Police Gun was a Heckler & Koch VP 700
ROBOCOP:
RoboCop's gun, referred to in the script as an Auto-9, was a modified Beretta M93R: The barrel was extended and modified to resemble a casket. The weapon has two fire modes, semi-automatic and three-round burst, the latter giving it its reference name, because when bursts are fired in quick succession the weapon seems automatic, though M93Rs are not automatic.
The "Cobra Assault Cannons" are working Barrett M82A1As, long-range anti-material .50 caliber sniper rifles with some plastic molding added to the frame and scopes originally meant to have CGI incorporated with them. That idea was scrapped due to budgetary constraints.
The standard issue handgun seems to be a Heckler and Koch P9S. This is supported by the fact that almost all the guns in the target shooting training area scene were P9S. The scene in which Murphy is practicing his TJ Laser trick clearly shows a SIG-Sauer pistol. It's either the p220 introduced in 1975, the p226 introduced in 1983. Both are externally identical but the p220 fires either 9 rounds of 9mm, or 7 to 8 shots of .45ACP and the p226 fires 15 rounds of 9mm.
JUDGE DREDD:
When making this Gun the Producers wanted to use the Beretta M93R Machine Pistol, but couldn't find any available, so they used a Modified Beretta 92S
“We had in mind a Beretta pistol that fires like a machine gun,” explains Julian. “But they no longer make those. So we had to alter the guns to try and make them fire like a machine gun”
Most of the Block War Guns were also the Modified Berettas, all other Guns, with the exception of the 'Judge Pump' (which was a Remington Shotgun) were made from AK-47s
TOMB RAIDER:
Lara's pistols are 9mm Heckler and Koch USP MATCH
The gun used by Powell's villains is the H&K G36k. The shortened carbine version of the G36 assault rifle. Both are in use with the German army
The gun that Daniel Craig uses in the Tomb of the Dancing Light is a Walther P99 pistol, the signature weapon of James Bond. He later wielded this weapon again as 007 in Casino Royale (2006).
RUNAWAY:
The pistol used by Ramsay is a custom-built Detonics 1911 9mm with the muzzle belled to look like a .45.
FIREFLY/SHOWTIME:
"Vera", which also appeared in the movie "Showtime" with Eddie Murphy and Robert De Niro, is modeled with (mostly) bolt-on parts on top of a Russian "Saiga-12" Kalishnikov-style shotgun
STARSHIP TROOPERS:
Ruger AC556 machine guns for the upper weapon, and twelve gauge Ithaca Stakeout shotguns for the one in the bottom
STAR TREK: V & VI
Beretta M93R Machine Pistol
TERMINATOR BATTLE RIFLE:
Calico M-950/Liberty III Pistol with extended barrel

I've looked around a bit but all i can find is Airsoft weapons from places such as the US, UK, Japan.
I guess if worst comes to worst i'll just get a cheap mini toy one and make it as close to what it looks like in the series as possible but if anyone does see anything around any info would be appreciated. Same for a Beretta 92fs.
Also planning on getting a P90 for my Atlantis costume but im not rushing into that yet and there is already a bit of info on these forums on how to obtain one.

Berettas - not sure these days, some on here have modified those light guns from Playstations (?), some have metal replicas (legal in SA and QLD), or again get some pistol from a cheap shop and paint it up, it's usually only a holster filler.
