I've just started collecting bits and pieces for a uniform from the new Battlestar Galactica. I've ordered some pins and things already, and I'm currently on the hunt for the right shade of blue fabric.

If you are interested in my progress, I have a page on my site about it. I'll put some research info in there as I go.

BSG Uniform

I'm going to collect bits and pieces slowly and I probably won't make much progress until July at least. I've got some other things that need to be finished before this wink.gif

The shoulder patches(and possibly the cuffs) have a suede look about them...possibly velour. It's also on the single breasted lower ranks uniforms(but not the coveralls).

They look like suede to me, but just on the shoulders, not on the cuffs. I got my swatch card for one of the officers uniform, and I've been trying to find a good match. No luck as yet.

I put my bsg uniform on hold because the convention I was making it for has been postponed...

but I have some cool news! Some of the costumes, including the standard uniform and the flight suit, were on display at comic con and kay_dee took a bunch of pics.

You need an ezboard account to view this, but trust me, it's worth it:
