Well, I finshed my Bellatrix costume and got to wear it today in its entirety to Supanova Sydney.

The material I used (which only cost me $3.00 p/mtr) has a similar pattern to Bella's, which helped when I highlighted the pattern with fabric paint in small sections over the dress.

For the corset I used a leather look (lycra?), which I was very happy with. In the movies shots her corset looks stitched, so I achieved this look with the trusty fabric paint as well. I'm happy with it.
[Since I made my first regency corset, I think I am now corset hooked. I might make a costume for Celine (Underworld) next out of the same material and of course she wears a corset].

The dress pattern I used, has sort of offset shoulders, which caused me some bother with the shoulders continually slipping down. Pinning them to my bra strap didnt help, so I just gave up on that idea, and anyway my very curly wig helped to cover up when they did slip.

I also made a wand holster out of vinyl, which looked the part. More photos on my website.
