Just been checking out latest movie news and have noticed that " The Picture of Dorian Grey" based on the Oscar Wilde novel and "Sherlock Holmes Movie" are coming out soon. Just wondering if people want to get dressed up in period costume to go watch them.

Dorian Grey Release date : 12th Nov.

Sherlock Holmes Release date : 26th Dec.
This one is a definite:
Sun 27 Dec - Marion Cinema - evening session (whichever is closest to 7pm - check sessions time when released)
See list below of who's going.

Have not worked out days to go watch them as its a very busy period with a lot of xmas parties and stuff going on but please suggest a possible day/night(saturday night??) and venue(marion??) which would suit best.

Don't reckon I'll get to the Dorian Grey movie - November is too busy for me. But Sherlock Holmes is probably do-able, perhaps in the week between Xmas and New Year...? Or are we aiming for the opening night?

Marion or the City is fine with me (though my local cinema tickets are only $7 any session...)

Make that $8 nowadays. Went there yesterday and had to scrounge up the extra buck. Bastards.

LOL! Sorry, it's been a couple of months since I'd been there. smile.gif It's still the cheapest in the state and half the cost of going to the big name cinemas.

So are we aiming for the Boxing Day release of Sherlock Holmes? It's Saturday night and technically in the week between Xmas & New Year - we just need to decide which cinema....

Marion's cool by me if that's what others want. And I agree about it having a bigger audience to impact upon smile.gif

So we've decided on a day (Sat 26 Dec) and possibly a cinema (Marion?) and do I assume an evening session? (For those poor sods who still have to work.)

Will see if Craig from the VSSA can come along as well, will have to be an evening session for sure, think that Toddi might be available as well.

Good idea Rui - we can let the other VSSA people know too, at the Regency Picnic.

Symon, can you include this event in your next update please?

Could we change the possible dates to either the 27th, 28th or 29th Dec.

We will be away on the 26th and wont be back in Adelaide till the arvo of the 27th.

Still keep the evening session times of course.
