Friends of Newstead Inc have invited us to join them atw Newstead House on Thursday 10 December 2009 from 6pm for their Twilight Reception honouring Proclamation Day.
Rebecca and I are keen to go, probably in Christmas Crinolines! Doesn't mean you have to make a new outfit... Could be as simple as a christmas sash, a christmas bonnet/hat or even a christmas pick brooch/earrings etc etc... Doesn't even need to be a historical outfit... Wear whatever you like...
Let me know if you're interested so I can RSVP...
From their website...
"THURSDAY 10 December -PROCLAMATION at sundown

Yay! As he now has an early shift that day, both Paul and I can make this! He'll get to wear his new jacket again!

And so rounds out one year of Q150 Celebrations! Thank you Queensland and the people that have made our Sunshine State such a wonderful place!
Cherie and I are going to get dressed there! Anyone else coming that hasn't said so?
To think that we have been dominated by crinolines this year and tonight will be the last time...for a while. Kind of brings a tear to your eye!

We'll probably already be dressed I think best, apart from slippin' on the ole crinoline cage under the layers before promenading on in!
See everyone there!
