Just like to let all the members and friends in the ACT know...... That your contact Pink is now having a break from organizing any events until Feb. 2010.

However, meetings and outing will resume early February.

Things that we found worked this year:
1. Meeting in Civic. It's easy for everyone to get there. Most people like to come out on Friday nights.
2. We're still sorting out a permanent home somewhere in Civic. Any objections to the NorthQuarter's Food Hall? Until we get over 10 members it is not viable for us to rent a meeting space. I was thinking Civic Library???? Or at the Multiculture Centre.
3. Please post suggestions for outings events next year.

PROMOTIONS.
Very big promotional event is The Stitches and Craft Show at Epic - Anzac Day long weekend. Friends who wish to donate their services are required to be a financial member by the end of February 2010. Let's face it the Guild isn't very expensive to join at all and you can pay by internet banking! Think of all those lovely discounts you will be entitled too and the extended bulletin board access. In return you will get first dibs on all the free tickets companies send to us. Friends get a free ticket if there are any left over. Want to be first cab on the rank = Join up!

Communications.

I'll be introducing Fancy fropperies to you. She'll co-ordinate the local facebook page and any special announcements. Pink will liase with the NAC [National Administrative Committee] and look after the elist and bulletin board. Pink and Fancy will form the local committee looking after the sub-chapter in the Canberra region.
