Only just noticed this thread just yesterday - which was when I just so happened to get started on collecting 'crap' to try and make some form of steampunk-like gun. happy.gif
I'm working on making a small derringer pistol, mostly for something to put on the 'quick-draw' sleeve rig (like in Taxi Driver, Sherlock Holmes, Alien: Ressurection, Desperado) that I'm also working on.

While looking for stuff about making a prop gun, I stumbled across a website called 'Instructables.com'. Interesting place. It's pretty much a DIY for just about anything!
You can look through all the online walkthroughs and guides, but you won't have access to all the images or be able to download an offline copy of the walkthroughs/guides without becoming a paid subscriber to the website.

- That's just what comes up if you type in and search the words "Steampunk gun" into the website. Check it out and search up some other stuff.

- And that's the website if you just want the homepage and are too lazy to get there from the previous link (you slackers). tongue.gif

Go ahead, make my coffee.

Now I know what you're thinking - "does he want two sugars or only one?" Well to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I've kind of lost track myself.
But being that I don't like my coffee too strong or too sweet, you’ve got to ask yourself one question – "do you feel lucky" – well do you, punk?

Not as useful as the previous linkage I've supplied, but here's just a collaboration of various steampunk gun images, most of which aren't too difficult to find on google:

That collection of images contains not a single steampunk weapon that has been made by getting a toy gun/nerf gun/water pistol and repainting it. All of the images there are completely original creations. Very good find, Lady Penelope. happy.gif
