[QLD] World Culture Dinner

Hi All,

Getting a topic going for our next event which is being organised by Narelle.

The idea is that the Dinner is in recognition of World Harmony Day, so we will wear clothing that represents different cultures from around the world. We'll also each bring along a dish to share from the culture you choose to represent.

The dinner will be held at my house, I'm thinking that if you could arrived by 6.30pm, we'll have dinner at 7.00pm.

Please let me know at least whether you are coming, and whether you're bringing anyone along with you, I'll need to ensure we have enough seats/tables. I might have to ask people to bring along chairs, so if you have some (that won't scratch my wooden floors! wink.gif ), please let me know.

Narelle is organising this event (and the activities for the night), but I thought it would be nice if each of us could bring along a little-known fact about the culture they have chosen.

I'm pretty sure everyone knows where I live, but as per usual, if you don't, pm me for the address.

Could those attending please PM me to confirm which Country you will be representing. If you could let me know no later than this Saturday, March 6th.


In honour of World Harmony Day, everyone is asked to arrive in the Traditional National Costume, of your chosen country. If everyone could please bring a plate, of traditional food/meal, and a Sweet or dessert, well-known for your Country! I have devised a couple of activities (and there will be PRIZES! so be sure to study up a little on the traditions and cultures of your Country!), to kick off our night!

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone that attended on Saturday night! And especially big THANKS MUCHLY to Cherie for opening her doors to host the event, I really appreciated it! Was lots of delicious dishes in origins spanning the globe, and I hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as I did! Pics to follow when peeps have the chance to get them loaded!
