Is anyone going to this? I think Mistress Fey is on Saturday, though I've got another party to go that night (and in true costumer mode need to finish my Angela Anaconda costume)

I had thought about going, I'm working Saturday and have a party on as well on Saturday night (its our wedding anniversary) so I think even Sunday may be a no go.
Besides I might start to pack for my trip to Tokyo, or at least do some ironing (ho hum).

I'm not going to make it either. I can't move my costume tubs around - which have my costume pieces in them. Ah well if it keeps raining like this it might get cancelled.

I did indeed go yesterday. It was a pleasant day, there were some jousting displays and some black powder firing by the Pike and Musket Society as well as the usual medieval combat. It wasn't a huge event, but it was fun and the park is lovely, and for free entry it was a good day out.
Since I wasn't officially attending with my re-enactment group, I chose to wear my 15thC merchant attire instead of my usual Viking kit, since it's already had a work-out this year. I did some wireweaving with a Danelaw guy (new copper bracelet for me, hooray!), chatted to the Ravens about a Sydney-wide kit workshop, and sat around with AAF chatting as they cooked, carved and cast things. Lots of fun!

There are many things that I could be proud of
If only I'd invented them, such as the wheel
The washing machine and the tumble dryer
On these inventions surely I could retire
