Hi all

The new Russell Crowe movie 'Robin Hood' will be premiering in cinemas Thurs May 13...I am finding out how many SA Costume Guild people are interested in getting together, dressing Medieval and seeing it together at the huge Event Cinemas at Westfield Marion. This film has a "M" rating due to violence and sexual references, so it wouldn't be ideal for children and runs for a total of 2hrs 20mins. From what I have seen of the trailer and 'making of' special, it looks exciting, tension-filled and full of full-on action.

If there are interested people, what time slot would most favour (I'm omiting the Gold Class times and only showing the Vmax times)- 10am, 12.55pm, 3.40pm, 6.45pm, 9.30pm. Or would people prefer Gold Class? (Much more expensive and not open to people underage due to avail of alcohol) Tickets could sell out quickly, so we would have to organize ourselves fairly quickly. I'm not experienced in organizing events, so perhaps someone could help out there...Merrick perhaps?? :-)

Please post here if you are interested and your preferred times.

Serpentia - 12.55pm, 3.40pm, or 6.45pm Vmax

What date did you have in mind? You mention Thursday, but I think a weekday would be difficult for most to attend. The weekend, perhaps the Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon, or maybe even the Friday evening would be possible for some.
You seem to be doing ok at the organising thus far Serpentia!

Good point Merrick! I only mentioned that day as it was the first day it was being shown (I'm so use to going to opening days dressed up), so if people would prefer another day/night then we could get together then. Please put down which day you prefer to go on (in costume of course!), and which times suit you the best.

Serpentia - Day: Flexible, Time: Anytime, but preferable not morning or too late at night :-)

Is anyone interested in going to see it Friday night or Saturday daytime/night time? (There are choices of more sessions on Fri and Sat than on Thurs) It's far better if we go as a group of people four or more, in costume, to really get a good atmosphere.

I realize that this was at such a short notice, but if we can't get a few people together by Wednesday night, I won't go ahead with this.

Thanx for letting me know :-)

Looks like there's no takers possibly due to the short notice of this and being busy. Oh well. I'll prolly go and see it with my Dad, a fellow archery fan, uncostumed of course ;-)

Good work for trying anyway Serpentia!

4 weeks is a good 'rule of thumb' when it comes to minimum notice for an event.
