I know we currently have a meeting and the medieval banquet on this day, but I wanted to see if anyone is keen for this opportunity to dress in historical, and do that thing that we usually do when we're in historical (you know, wander around, be pretty, talk to people etc etc).
The details I have at the moment (pretty much directly from the email):
"The New Farm and Districts Historical Society is involved, at Committee level, in the organizing of the upcoming Teneriffe Festival, to be held on the 3rd July, this year from 9am.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from parties whose activities are compatible with the historical nuances of both the times and the area."
I mentioned to him that we're going to a banquet that night, so we wouldn't be able to stay all day, and he understood that, so even if we can go for a few hours (maybe 10am - 2pm or something?) they would be very appreciative. They will also have somewhere for us to change. Their plan is to shut down Macquarie Street (which I believe is the one on the river where the wool sheds are) and have a festival, and they were thinking we could add ambiance and a historical flair to the event.
So..... Are you interested in going along? I'll need to know by the end of the week if you are so I can let them know one way or the other...
Thanks
Cherie
