I didn't put a post up about this yet?

Ok, History Alive is rapidly descending on us (here speaks a re-enactor not yet ready!) once again.

When? 12 - 13 June 2010. Gates open at 9.30am and close at 4pm

Where? Fort Lytton National Park

How much?
Type One Day Pass Two Day Pass
Family (2 adults,2 children) $40.00 $60.00
Adult $15.00 $25.00
Child (aged 5 to 10) $10.00 $15.00
Child (Under 5 years) FREE FREE
Concession (Current Card) $10.00 $15.00

Rebecca and I will be there with the Qld Scottish Volunteer Corps inside the fort (make sure to come and see us!)

Melissa will be there with RIFF in Regency

Angela, are you going with your group?

You might have heard that Kay from South Australia is going to be in Brisbane at this time too, so she thought she might come along on Saturday. Antonia, which day were you thinking of going?

It's a fun day out though, and the kids seem to love it since there's people running around pretending to kill / maim each other in a VARIETY of ways.... Our first year out there we even saw a plane being shot down. So well worth a look... Hope to see you there! smile.gif

I wasn't going to be able to make it, but my boss figured out how to get me the three days leave I need so I will be there with Condottieri (my reenactment group)

Shooosh! I'm not ready!!!

I have to write a couple of "to-do" lists and a "to pack" list...

And I think we're all going to FREEZE during the night...

I'm not ready either! And yes, it gets cold at night! Try to keep yourself off the ground (matress, camp bed whatever) and remember at the very least to make sure yo hve something insulating under you as well as above you.. I also recomend ear plugs and a wooley hat for sleeping in.

I'll think of you freezing while I'm madly preparing for Chris's birthday. And yes I will be cooking late into the night methinks.

Most groups would allow it as long as it didn't come out untill after the public are gone, but then you have the issue of boiling water in a pot on the fire and then trying to ladel it out into a hotwater bottle by firelight and candle light...
