The Sydney Opera House have started a monthly series called Screen Live, where newly commissioned scores to silent films are performed live (while the film is shown). The one in August seems like a great chance to wear steampunk and see some great early film by Georges Méliès. His 1902 Trip to the Moon and 1905 Voyage across the Impossible are in the program.
Screen Live - Georges Méliès Project
Is anyone else interested in this? (and willing/able to pay the $29 ticket price).
[NSW] steampunk outing - maybe?

I think it depends on whether there are any seats left by then. Some things sell out & others don't.

One of our offline members is very interested in coming along, and I'm going to buy tickets (or at least mine) later this week.

Yeah...Sorry Wenz...definitely wont be able to make it.
THis month has been and still is, veeeeeery busy for me..at work and on the weekends.
I think I might try and relax after the trip back from Taree on that Sunday.(yeah right!!!)
Somewhere in there I have to do a make up rehearsal for the Ball.

No worries. Lorna can't make it after all, so I'm going with a friend (but won't be wearing a costume). It was a good idea, but not all good ideas work out :-)
