Dear Friends
Good News! We can now confirm that we are definitely holding a costume weekend in Yarralumla, Canberra over the long weekend: 2-4 October 2010 and that there will be two teachers on board: from Canberra Aylwen Gardiner-Garden and from South Australia Lynne Cook, the President of the Australian Costumers Guild. The weekend includes a visit to Floriade to see the beautiful spring bulb display.
Lynne will be helping you ...to make a Talma Wrap , perfect for wearing over your bustle gowns.(http://trulyvictoria...atalog/500.html)
Aylwen will help you make a simple version of the wool soutache cape shown here http://www.antiquedress.com/item4446.htm.
Costs will be kept to a minimum to cover the cost of patterns and refreshments, and are dependant on how many enrol. Discounts will apply for members of the Earthly Delights Historic Dance Academy and Australian Costumers Guild.
Please indicate your interest in attending by emailing Aylwen on aylwengg@gmail.com as soon as possible. We can only accept a maximum of twelve participants.
Many thanks,
Aylwen

Please RSVP to Aylwen at her email listed above.
Costuming takes you away from the ordinary and makes your creative skills extraordinary.
