The Port Adelaide Caledonian Society will be holding a three course meal with an audio/visual display and tribute to the RMS Titanic and those who sailed apon her. You don't have to be Scottish or have Scottish heritage to come along! This event is costumed, so think '1912' or the movie 'Titanic'. A few ideas - First class, second class, third class (immigrants), businessmen, ship's officers & crew, musicians etc..

With the event being a lot more affordable than the other event being held in the Convention Center, I've booked my ticket early to secure my place. 'Boarding Passes' are being sent out early.

Hope to see you there!

Whoa with all the Titanic events on the 14th I'd be surprised if there's enough people to go around!

Is there a problem? I was not aware that there was anything else being held by the ACG in SA on that date. I am aware of the big event being held in the Convention Centre, but that was way too expensive for most.

I mean in general. Across the nation. It was a humorous post.

Yeah lots going on up here as well, think I'm up to four events now, private parties and dinners everywhere, along with official things and guild events. For me, I'm milking it for all its worth, if I could I would fly to more events around the country, there are enough feathers on my hats to do this I think! I love this era, the clothes are to die for, the hats stunning and the shoes were gorgeous. Starting to take some vitamins now, sleep in April may be hard to find as is my lounge room floor, chiffon, silk and feathers everywhere, total bliss.
The most important piece of clothing we wear is our expression!

Sadly, not in Sydney. Not even in the wider community and a sizable amount of the NSW peeps will be in Canberra for JAFA :/ I wants it alllll

This is a separate one. As far as I know, Catherine is still planning the other one for May but I haven't heard anything about it. Hopefully she will let us know soon (I don't know her user name so I can't send her a PM.)

I got my ticket yesterday and its made to look like an actual ticket from the Titanic :-D

well, now we can't go to either. Dave is not working atm and we need to save $$$ until we know what is happening... I am not sure I can get new costumes made in time now.. time and money wise... :(
