Tally-ho my good chums!

On Sunday 13th of May, I am hosting a steampunk safari. We will be making our way to the Alma Park Zoo to explore the beauties of the wildlife and enjoy the scenery.

Where - Alma Park Zoon, located on the northside of Brisbane on Alma Road off Old Gympie Road at Dakabin
Website - http://www.almaparkz...w&id=1&Itemid=2
Time - 9.15am
Price - $37 Adults, $27 / Child (age 3 - 13), $29 / Concession, Pensioners, Students (14yrs +) $29.

I will be driving out to the zoo from Trinnyt's place (message me if you need the address), if you would like to car-pool, you can meet me there. I will be leaving her house at 9am and no later. Please let me know if you would like to car-pool so that I know who to wait for. Otherwise, we will meet you shortly after outside the entry gates to the zoo.

Facilities:
There are numerous picnic and free BBQ facilities to sit for luncheon, I thought a picnic break would be the order of the day. There is a cafe at the zoo to buy food from, however you are quite welcome to bring your own. The picnic areas are close to the cars, so you will not need to carry your lunch around with you all day. (I will have an esky in my boot for some cold items).

Please leave your weapons at home as we are there to view the animals only. The only cannons that I want to see are of the snapshot variety.

Cheerio!

PS. If our group is larger than 10, I can arrange for a group booking at discounted prices, as well as a booked picnic space for lunch. However, I will need to know confirmed numbers by the 9th May.

Not sure about this one, the 13th is my birthday and is it mothers day too? However i would like nothing better than to spend my day with my guild friends, so thinking about it. I feel Mr Makepiece would want to spend the day with me and for 2 people its as expensive as going out to dinner. I will talk this over with the family and let you know within an acceptable time period i.e. before may. It should like a fun day out and I would really like to go!
Thanks for organising this Mel, its bound to be fun!

Yes, this is mother's day (and my mum's birthday). If I'm not working then I should probably spend he day with my mother, so I'll see what she's doing and let you know!

I probably won't carpool as I have a mothers day thing on in the afternoon and have to leave early.

Thanks everyone for making it a smashing day. I had a blast, and I think that a trip to the zoo may be something on the cards again some time in the future.
