Hi everyone,

I just thought with time growing short to the Himeji event that some people may still have nothing to wear, but would like to come.

I found today some gorgeous dresses for only $70ish, I can't remember exactly. They were strapless unfortunately for me, but if you can hold them up then they may be good for you. There was a choice of white or black and they were covered in gorgeous lace with a red ribbon around the waist and netting poking out of the bottom giving them a delightful lolita style "pooof"!

If you are interested they are in the discount clothing store downstairs in the southern cross arcade (next to cheap as chips)

There are other lacy numbers as well that you could dress up lolita-like, but in particular the black or white lace dresses looked stunning and straight out of a lolita magazine to me. I wish I could have got one!

I had a look at that shop today. They had one white Lolita dress I would like, but I think it was about $79. I was SO tempted to try it on, but I'm afraid I might buy it! tongue.gif

I tried some on today, but none of the cut fit my large...erm...

I still haven't managed to remember to take my camera to work... but do go have a look. I can imaging quite a few with the addition of a petticoat would look quite nice if you need something ASAP.

It sounds like a great little shop. I might have to check it out. I'm currently waiting for my Gothic Lolita dress to arrive. happy.gif I already have shoes and socks. All I need now is a proper head-dress. I already have one, but it is a little too....plain. I really need to buy another.

Loli head-dresses are pretty simple in their construction - have you considered making your own? smile.gif

Yes, I have. I am going to fix up the one that I already have now. Although, I think that one will be included with the dress I am getting from eBay.

Mhmm....that dress looks more cosplay, then actual Lolita. Mind you, some of the dresses on that site are plenty cute.
Good find. happy.gif

I'll be in Harajuku at the end of March, hoping to pick up some lolita...last time I bought a goth lolita dress for miss Penny, cost me equivalent of $45 when they were selling them in Newtown Harjuku store for about $130. While there I also bought her a pair of excellent platforms which I recently found similar in a Japanese clothing shop in China Town, Sydney...retail $145... I paid once again about $40.

As I know shopping lolita in Japan is like in heaven, but the price as I heard is too high. I mostly do taobao brands and now trying to help others on that too :) They are cheaper while quality ensured.

Hi Pen & Loli,
Where are some great places to shop in inner Sydney for Lollita/steampunk clothes? I am going on a trip to Sydney and want to visit some stores etc while I am down from the ACT. I am particularly looking for blouses and skirts. Cheers Pink

Would anyone like to make a list of web shops they think is good and pin it here in the forum?
