Help me make Casanunda the Lowwayman!

I’m seeking collaborators (Sydney based) for a costume project more elaborate than my inadequate resources and skills.
This is an attempt to show off a dwarf character from Terry Pratchett's Discworld, to be worn at the Discworld convention Nullus Anxietas in Melbourne in February 2007.

Full details hosted at my collaborative craft-project:

Casanunda Collaboration on Instructables site

It seems a cool device to hide human proportioned legs in the Casanunda character's handy stepladder, and his highwayman role provides a bold and simple enough visual design.

The main challenges are:
-Assembling a lower-body shell that looks convincing,
without being heavy or fragile.
-Sewing or purchasing the Higwayman costume elements such as the three-cornered hat and cloak.

I'll need a lot of assistance to pull this off, preferably from people in it for the creative glory but also for financial reimbursement if needed.

Feel free to offer suggestions as comments or to sign on as an ongoing collaborator.

Hi there Seven (cough) Nine - welcome to the website!

I'm not in Sydney so I can't help out physically but I'm quite happy to offer advice smile.gif

I'm heading over to the con myself (I really must put a post up for it) so I'll keep an eye out for you. You should be easy enough to spot in that costume laugh.gif

That would be a very impressive costume! Good luck, I hope we get to see photos of the finished product smile.gif
