Ok, experimented with my Alice dress. Usually I would use a invisible zip, but I wanted the convenience of doing it up like a jacket, so I did my best to conceal a open ended zip, however the end is a bit chunky and you can see a couple of spots.
I was wondering if an open ended invisible zip exists... and if so, where would I get one? I need a red one if they do.

Spotlight have them, they are a bit more expensive though.

Good to know, I was thinking of putting one in the back of my Fairy God Mother dress and an open ended one would work out great.
Thanks.
Thanks.

They have a fairly limited range though, unfortunately. I hope you can find the length and colour you need

I will have to check it out. I need a fairly long one. I think a bit longer than the one I got for Alice (40cm) would be better, probably at least a 45cm if they have them... Fingers crossed.

There is another company that does better invisible open-ended zips, but I can't remember what they are called, sorry. The stopper at the end actually slides up so you can sew right to the end.
Might be worth a google search or something. I'm not sure where you can get them retail, I only know the wholesaler.
I'll have a look and come back if I find the name.

That was easier than I thought....

I think that's them, but they don't have very specific info on their website.
They only do trade though, so you might have to hunt up someone who does their stuff retail.
--------
Even better:
http://www.mrecht.com.au/
They have more information and show how to sew the invisible open ended zips

You might want to check out the button bar. I'm not sure they sell them, but you would think that they would. They have the largest range of zips I have ever seen!
