wow great work guys.
i also have a headdress question. i am wanting to make a Egyptian headpeice similar to that of tutankhamans or cleopatras. with king tut he has the 2 cobras in front followed by the stipey material coming down over the head. i was thinking i might do it without the stripey material. anyway how would i make the snakes.? any ideas. ? love mel QC i am going to bed for now it is 2am but will look at the forum tomorrow (wednesday) love mel smile.gif thanks

Hi QC. I split your question into a new topic because you will probably get more answers.

I would make a base to work on (something you can put on your head) then mould the rest of the details and paint it, but someone else might have a better idea.

There's some good pics and info on various egyptian crowns and headdresses here

http://www.touregypt.net/featurestories/crowns2.htm

On the Tutankhamun headdress(and it would seem most of them) the snake is a full snake depiction with the body coiled and running up onto the head. Doing it in white metal would be good if you didn't mind a little weight since you could shape it to match the curve of the headdress after making it flat.

You could also scour the toystores for a small rubber cobra and insert a wire in it for the same effect.
