Looking at getting a batch of various BSG patches made up, probably the viper shoulder patch and the BSG patch. Anyone interested? Would probably be about $10 - $15 ea, maybe less for a larger batch, so the more interest the better!!

Oh I'm definately interested! The only place I've seen them available is on Ebay (they're $15 on there also). Depends on what kind of time frame you're looking at as well. At the moment I'm putting together a Cally costume for Brisbane Supanova (you had better be coming!!) as Cheif Tyrol (or the actor who plays him) will be there. She has a patch on the left shoulder. But I'm also hopeing to put together a Viper pilot sometime down the track - so that would be both patches. And hey, who wouldn't want a few extras to put on bags and such wink.gif

Do you have your design already? and what fabric are you using as a backing?

Just going to get a friends neighbour who has an embroidery business to do them. The viper patch will be 100mm round, as will the BSG patch. Could also get the BSG Launch Bay tech badge if you like?? Will see if I can get them with iron on backing if that is more to your liking.

Can they do other stuff?? I'm after two gundam seed ZAFT badges before july (may-junish) - cheaper than US$23incl shipping would be lubbley, but I am relatively open if it means supporting an aussie company and its only a couple of dollars more too.

That sounds great Levin! I'd probably want 2 BSG patches and 1 Viper - depending on the cost. Iron backing woudl be fantastic!

I don't know about the Launch Tech, I think that one is from the original series. I jsut had a look at my ref pics, and they don't have any other patch apart from the BSG.

Are you familiar with the BSG Dewback wing forums? That's where I've been going for most of my BSG help!

I don't see why not. Would have to check first, but again the more you have for a production run the better. Do you have a full size colour scan they could use as the reference?

And just to keep everyone in the loop, just waiting on a quote for the patches, including minimum numbers needed to make a batch.

Sweet as.

All I have is that at the moment. Other source images I have show the badge much smaller. And I don't know anyone else that wants them sorry.

smile.gif Cool. Let me know. I won't be thinking about the costume in particular until after Brisnova, so no huge rush.

Oooh I was jsut looking at my reference pics, and realised why the BSG patch looked so strange! The backing is supposed to be yellow, not white. The Pegasus patch is a blue and white, but Galactica is Yellow and Black. Hopefully that's not too hard to change!

There is some debate on the bsg standard patch, and if it's done on a good match for the fabric backing, then yes, count me in.

Can you send me your reference pic? We'll go off that one. (didn't realise I'd posted the wrong one, sorry) No worries in changing it to yellow. Got quote back, $8 each and can't do iron on backing, but hey for 8 bucks................

Hopefully this attachment thing will work, if not, I'll email them to you. There's the 2 patches, and then the reference shots for them. I'm pretty sure I got these off Dewback Wing ASAP forums. You will have to sign up for an ezeboard account before you can view it. I can't remember the exact thread though.

$8 is fantastic!! biggrin.gif I'm definately after at least 2 BSG patches and 1 viper, though I might order an extra couple to put away in my patch collection biggrin.gif I know a few people who are doing BSG costumes, so I'll check if they're interested. Will you be doing a specific run of these (is there a timeframe and a limited order?) or can we jsut order when we need?

Looking at getting 15 of each (viper and BSG) for starters, unless I get more interest. Then anyone who wants one can conatct me directly I guess. I'm quite happy to be the contact if anymore need to be made too. Will hopefully have them within a fornight or so. Keep you all posted.

That's fantastic! I'll see if any of the others want them then!

I'm actually thinking of asking my dad if it's possible for him to make some dogtags up. He does engraving, so I've got to check if he has any stuff that looks like metal. If I got him the graphic, I'm sure he'd be able to do it.

If I wasn't so broke I'd be all over this, I was hoping to make uniforms for my boyfriend and I if we ended up going to Supanova. If you're going to have the chance to get more done then I'd probably be up for getting some in a month or so, if not then that's cool too.
