I was pondering somehow crossing Cyber Goth with a Gothic Lolita outfit...

Any thoughts, tips or advice?

I wanna do cyber falls... I have hair now... just need some other bits and to give it a go...

I think maybe cross goth-loli with a cyber hair-do, but I wouldn't go too hard core on the spikes as loli is supposed to be more feminine and child-like. I think I posted somewhere on cyber falls.... maybe... I know I posted a couple of hair sites in the misc links section. Check them out.

Hmmm... postage from Germany might be a killer though (maybe we can go in together if you are interested in purchasing some, though the blonde combos only have pink with them... I hate pink!!). Looks like its about $20 per set of dreads. Makes me wish I had black hair though. I was gonna make my own so I can blend my hair colour in better and won't have to wear a fringe comb to hide all my blonde.

I would like to get myself a pair of the dread falls I allready have a normal pair of falls in black & purple, I still haven't worked out how to put them in right, my pack came with no destructions so I have tried many ways, I think I need to look for one of those plastic loops they had in the early 90's that used to pull the ponytails thru the rest of the hair, if that makes any sense, I think that woul work really well.

Still looking for one of those though.

When I grow old I do not wish for people to look at me and say "Ah what a nice old lady!", I want them to look at me and say "Do you think she's armed?"

uhm.
hmm.

I think you have to be very careful when combining cyber goth and lolita together.

A lot of the time it can look very trashy which kind of takes away the actuall "lolita" look.

I think you're going to end up with a more visual kei, cyber punk outfit then lolita. Which is cool too.

Trying to think about how to combine the two hurts my brain.
PVC is evil XD my stupid PVC skirt *kicks* lol interfacing on PVC wtf XD

yer. I'm interesrted. If you look on ebay and type in "lolita" most of the time they're referances of what NOT to do.
I'm very VERY excited to see what you come up with, its so cool.

I saw some just the other day - they have them at the hairdressing supply shop (Price Attack?) on the corner of Renaissance Arcade and the Mall. Right hand wall, not very far in from the door.

Oh cool. I've been thinking about buying another one cause I lost mine and I think it would be good for trying to do the ribbons around witch hunter robins hair.

What about something like my vinyl dress wildcat?? That is like a blending off the two without going too off lolita if you want to stick to a truer lolita style (plus you can come try it on cause I will have to sell it... doesn't fit me anymore...)

Otherwise I agree with shi on many levels. You might want to look into visualkei for styles. You'd still be welcome to wear it to a lolita meet up of course. We'll open up the dress code a little more to include the japanese fruits styles.

Sarcasm-hime does some fantastic stuff encorporating the cyber/dread falls stuff. Lovely petties and dresses.

I don't personally like the little pvc skirts you showed wildcat, but then I have an aversion to pvc unless it is really suited. You see so many cosplays ruined by the use of PVC... *cries* Take this for example (look familar and yet hideous anyone?)

I would try first getting the hair and trying some goth-loli looks wildcat happy.gif

If you're wanting to look like the figurine it is spot on... One of my friends has it. I don't really like that model it's too shiny but it's his pride and joy (being his largest scale model).

Oh...I have the figure too, but the smaller one, not the 1/6 scale. Same thing though... If you check out my avatar or this it's why I was commenting on the hideousness of the PVC version. I made it in cotton. It looks much better.

Everyone seems to have some very good points and advice about mixing "cyber-goth" with "Lolita".

I realise that I have to be very careful so I don’t' make it look trashy.

As a start, I might just try cyber-goth on its own, then add some aspects of gothic Lolita and see how I go from there.

But I doubt I would want to wear it to a Lolita meet, I would be more inclined to wear it to a rave or some fetishy event
