I'm looking for a good location to take some photos of a victorian corset, chemise, and short petticoat. I only have access to public transport so I can't go anywhere too remote, but I'd like to find somewhere nice and fairly quiet so that I won't be putting up with stupid comments the whole time. I'd like to steer clear of the botanic gardens. The photos are basically so I can sell the corset but I'd also like a nice way of remembering it and to put it in my portfolio.

If anyone has any suggestions for a good location that'd be great.

And also, I've missed this place...

If you're looking for a nice outdoors location you could try The Flower Garden.

It's one of the places I was considering having a lolita meet-up. However, we've agreed that the next meet-up will be indoors so I didn't pursue further information on the place (like how long it takes to get there and whether there's public transport).

Looks like a nice place but it's a bit out of the way. Thanks though.

I'm really not fussed if it's indoors or outdoors, though indoors would probably be more appropriate. If only Adelaide Arcade wasn't accessable after hours...

I know you said you wanted to avoid the Botanic Gardens, but the Palm House is gorgeous and no one ever goes there (well, at least they don't when I'm there)
The older university campuses probably have some good locations and they would be getting quieter soon.
Never been there but Ayers House looks pretty.
Semaphore also has interesting places but would be awfully cold.
Thats all I can think of off the top of my head laugh.gif

How about inside State Library on the upper level of the Mortlock wing.
Or that old room in the Barr Smith Library (I can't remember the name - it's been many years)

They're both classic environments.
To protect the world from devastation... R

Hrm, true. I might go and have a look once exams are over to see how busy they are. I'm just a bit cautious because it is effectively underwear.

So ask for some Guild Minders to come along - Another excuse to Dress up!
