Hi! This is one of the strangest thing I've done in a while, but...

I work at Oxfam Australia, and we have a giant bamboo-frame paper-covered pink Converse sneaker in our foyer (it was made by a youth group as part of our Fair Trade (anti-sweatshop) campaign. My boss has just told me that we need to get rid of it (the idea being that we would have to throw it away).

But I think someone might find a use for it, and thought here would be a good place to start! Is is very lightweight, and the signage can be easily removed without damaging it.

If anybody wants it, or thinks they might know someone (youth/ community group, anyone!) who does, you can have it! We are located in Hutt St in Adelaide's CBD.

If you are interested please email me at katherines@oxfam.org.au

Thanks!!

To give some idea of scale -

But I love it, it makes me either interesting of the most boring 20 year old on the planet!

I know a lot of my friends are in this forum, except that I don't know who's who, so that's going to be a pleasure to work out. My first public costume debut was cosplaying Lenne from FFX2 at Brisbane Supanova 2005. In 2006 and 2007 I ran Cosplay Snap, a photography service for cosplayers, resulting in many beautiful photographs.
I also used to go to BAS (Brisbane Anime Society).

I have also attended the Abbey Medieval festival (in Caboolture, where I live), for the last two years.

For the first half of 2007 I was working as a full-time 24-hour restaurant manager for Pancake Manor (on Charlotte St, Brisbane CBD), AS WELL AS studying full-time on a double degree at university (Bachelor Business/Bachelor Accounting).

Working full-time and studying full-time was all time-consuming so on the 07/07/07 (lol) I decided to leave my job to focus on my studies, and since then have had a lot more time for family, friends and forums. :)
